Overview
Pharmaceutical aluminium hydroxide gel and dried gel neutralise stomach acid in antacids. As alumina trihydrate (ATH), it is the most widely used halogen-free flame retardant in cables, plastics and rubber.
It is also the starting material for alum, PAC and other aluminium compounds.
