Overview
In agriculture ammonium chloride supplies nitrogen, notably for rice. In feed it acidifies urine and helps prevent urinary stones in sheep, goats and cattle. Industrially it is a flux in galvanising and soldering and an electrolyte in dry cells.
It is a white crystalline powder or granules in fertiliser, feed, technical and pharma grades.
