Overview
Sorbitol is about 60% as sweet as sugar, keeps products moist and does not promote tooth decay. It is the main humectant in toothpaste and is used in sugar-free confectionery, bakery, cosmetics and syrups.
It is supplied as a 70% solution (crystallising and non-crystallising) and as powder.
