Overview
ACH is the most concentrated of the polyaluminium coagulants, with very high basicity. It works across a wide pH range, consumes little alkalinity and produces less sludge than alum, which makes it a strong choice for soft or low-alkalinity water.
It is supplied as a ~50% solution or a powder. A cosmetic grade with tight heavy-metal limits is used in antiperspirants.
