Overview
Esterquats are biodegradable cationic surfactants that deposit on fibres during the rinse, making towels and clothes soft and reducing static. They are the active in most modern rinse conditioners.
They are supplied as concentrated pastes or flakes, diluted into finished softeners at 4–15%.
