Overview
Petroleum jelly forms a barrier that locks in moisture and protects skin, making it the base of many healing ointments, lip balms and nappy creams. It is inert and very stable.
Cosmetic and pharmacopoeia grades are highly refined and white, with melting point and consistency to specification.

- SOLUBILITY
- PRACTICALLY INSOLUBLE IN WATER, SLIGHTLY SOLUBLE IN METHYLENE CHLORIDE, PRACTICALLY INSOLUBLE IN ETHANOL (96%) AND IN GLYCEROL.
