Product
Sodium Dimethyldithiocarbamate
Sodium dimethyldithiocarbamate (SDDC) is a heavy-metal precipitant and biocide used to remove copper, nickel, lead and zinc from industrial wastewater.
- Also known as
- SDDC
- Grades / forms
- 40% solution
Overview
SDDC binds dissolved heavy metals — including those held by chelating agents that defeat ordinary hydroxide precipitation — into insoluble complexes that settle out. That makes it valuable for plating, PCB and metal-finishing effluent.
It is supplied as a ~40% aqueous solution. It is also used as a fungicide intermediate and in rubber processing.
Applications
- 1Heavy-metal removal from plating and PCB effluent
- 2Treatment of chelated metal wastewater
- 3Biocide in industrial water systems
- 4Rubber accelerator and agrochemical intermediate
Packing & storage
Packing
- 35 kg HDPE carboys
- 250 kg HDPE drums
- 1 MT IBC totes
Storage & handling
Store closed, away from acids — acidification releases toxic gases.
