Overview
Polyols are the soft, flexible half of polyurethane. Diols and triols of different molecular weight make flexible foam for mattresses and seating; higher-functionality polyols make rigid insulation foam.
Grades are defined by hydroxyl value, functionality and viscosity, matched to the foam or elastomer being made.
